LGBTQ+ YOUTH GROUPS

In our groups the primary goal is to provide a venue for sharing ideas, information, coping strategies, resources, frustrations, and successes in a safe and supportive environment. Together we play games, eat food, gain new skills, and learn from each other. We frequently invite guest speakers from CAPSA and other community resources to discuss LGBTQ+ relevant topics such as bullying, mental health, healthcare, online safety, etc.

Preteen (11-14 year olds)

Our Preteen Group is open to all LGBTQ+ youth and those questioning who are ages 11-14.

We meet every Thursday from 5-7 PM at our address.

Teen (14-18 year olds)

Our Teen Group is open to all LGBTQ+ youth and those questioning who are ages 14-18.

We meet every Friday from 5-7 PM at our address.

In addition to our group times, we give our preteens and teens a monitored platform to communicate with each other throughout the week and a fixed opportunity to reach out for mutual support from their peers. This allows our members to communicate and build a bond with each other, as well as with CPC volunteers and staff, for ongoing support and a sense of belonging.
